This was a complete backyard re-design to accommodate a family’s evolving lifestyle. Under used turf and a small concrete patio were replaced with multiple paver areas to encourage movement through the backyard areas. These areas were separated by planter beds full of waterwise vegetation in an array of colors and textures. Ornamental trees, succulents, and grasses complimented the modern clean lines of the new hardscape. A bocce ball court was added along with a new firepit and a state-of-the-art outdoor kitchen. The client’s slope was given a complete facelift with larger grasses and succulents to create a statement along with new landscape lighting throughout to highlight areas of interest. This re-design is the pinnacle of laid-back Southern California style.
